Well the site has been down for a while, but it's back again. There are some broken bits that will need fixing, but fingers crossed it shouldn't take too long to get everything working again...

Well, it's been a year since I purchased this domain, and I have a site and some users, but no one is really using this resource yet. Partly that's my own fault, I haven't had enough time to get the ball rolling properly, but partly I think it's because people want to use it for internal CVSSP stuff which means I have to lock it down and so it looks closed to the rest of the world.
So I now have a question I need to answer. Should I
I am slowly adding more content, I aim to add a load of conference related information over time to the site. Hopefully I can something worth visiting the site to use...
Ok, I have now created a wiki page that lists online sites that have CV related resources.
Hello to anyone who is here because of the e-mail I just sent out. I'd just like to point out a couple of things.
Firstly this is currently my own private website and is in now way associated with CVSSP or the University of Surrey. Having said that, at the moment I only anticipate CVSSP people coming here and there is a private CVSSP section of the Forums.
This little web app is a pretty nifty bit of javascript. Scribble the shape of a LaTeX symbol you want to look up and it suggests the commands you might be looking for. And it works really well too.
I have had someissues with the server (suddenly lost most of my RAM as they moved the VM to a new node), but that has now bben resolved. I've also just got some paper submissions finished so now I think I will have some time to dedicate to this site properly and I think it's about time to start telling people about it...
I've re-organised some of the blocks, so stuff on the left appears everywhere apart from the forums, while stuff on the right is only on the front page. What do people think? Should I keep things like this?
What is the ugliest thing about the site at the moment?
Joe
Oops - I accidentally locked access to some of the forums
Fixed now.
I have just enabled user access control to restrict visibility of the wiki and forums to registered users. That means that only people from CVSSP (or related third parties) can currently view the forums and wiki.
This probably doesn't change anything really, but if the visibility of the site was holding people back then maybe this will encourage some more participation?
